Job summary

Smile Quest Dental in Rocklin, CA seeks an experienced Registered Dental Assistant with Extended Functions (RDAEF/RDAEF2) to join our clinical team. You will work with dentists to perform expanded functions, take digital scans and X-rays, and assist across general, cosmetic, restorative, and surgical care.

Required are an active CA RDAEF license, CPR/BLS, and X-ray certification; 1–2 years of RDAEF experience preferred. Competitive pay, excellent benefits, and CE support are offered.

Qualifications

• Active California RDAEF license in good standing required.
• CPR/BLS and X-ray certifications required; additional certifications valued.
• 1–2 years of RDAEF clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and patient empathy expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform expanded functions within California Board scope.
• Take digital intraoral scans, X-rays, and CBCT images.
• Assist dentists in four‑handed dentistry across procedures.
• Fabricate provisional crowns and bridges; finish restorations.
• Apply sealants, fluoride, anesthetics; coronally polish when needed.
• Explain plans and post‑op care; maintain patient records.
