Job summary

Ampla Health Family Medical and Dental in Chico, CA is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant Extended Functions II. Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be licensed RDAEFII in the State of California.
• Five years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant/RDAEFII.
• Must have a current BLS Certification.
• Must have a Radiation Safety Certification or completion of an approved radiation safety course.
• Must have a valid California Dental X-ray license, coronal polishing and be Sealant Certified.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license and proof of personal automobile insurance as required by California state law.

Responsibilities

• Perform four-handed dental assisting duties for endodontics, oral surgery, pedodontics, prosthodontics and restorations.
• Take impressions for cast restorations (crowns, bridges) and final impressions for indirect restorations.
• Place, contour, finish, and adjust all direct restorations; place interim restorations as needed.
• Perform charting and document exam findings in patient records.
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene and preventive dental education.
• Plan work duties to ensure dental clinic efficiency and manage scheduling.
