Job summary

Kendrick Plastics in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Advanced Quality Engineer to lead quality planning for new product launches and engineering changes. You will drive APQP/PPAP activities and develop PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flows to ensure customer requirements are met.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, automotive manufacturing experience, and knowledge of IATF 16949.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and 8D problem solving.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new programs and launches.
  • Develop PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flows.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using quality tools.
  • Support customer and supplier quality initiatives.

About The Role

We're seeking an Advanced Quality Engineer to lead quality planning and validation activities for new product launches, engineering changes, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring customer requirements are met while driving world-class quality performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new programs and launches
  • Develop PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flows
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using quality tools
  • Support customer and supplier quality initiatives
