Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Pump Assembly Technician II to join our team in a clean manufacturing environment. You will perform complex assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of AODD pumps, service kits, and sub-assemblies while maintaining strict quality standards.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to train and mentor newer technicians. Prior clean room experience is preferred; hours are 6:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing, assembly, testing, or related experience preferred.
• Experience working in a clean room is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair operations on AODD pumps, service kits, and sub-assemblies.
• Verify product quality and functionality by conducting testing procedures and documenting results.
• Diagnose mechanical and performance issues; identify root causes and implement corrective actions within established guidelines.
• Inspect assemblies for proper fit, form, and function; adjust, rework, and replace components as required to meet quality standards.
• Perform and support product validation testing utilizing test stands, fixtures, gauges, and other production equipment.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment, fixtures, and workstations to ensure accurate and repeatable results.
• Read, interpret, and apply work instructions, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and specifications.
• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Technician I employees and new team members.
• Assist supervisors, quality, and engineering teams in troubleshooting production issues and implementing process improvements.
• Follow all clean room protocols, gowning procedures, contamination control requirements, and safety standards.
• Accurately complete production records, quality documentation, and other required reports.
