Job summary

Kingland is seeking an Advanced Project Management Intern to assist in planning and managing software development projects and to implement PM process improvements across the lifecycle. You will gain experience in communication, organization, leadership and data analysis while working with dedicated PMs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with full-time Project Managers and exposure to CMMI initiatives within a mission-driven team in Ames and Clear Lake, Iowa offices.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four year institution, in a related program.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Major GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interaction and collaboration with full-time Project Managers on the management of software development projects.
• Create initial project plans and update existing plans.
• Monitor the execution of in-flight projects.
• Communicate effectively and appropriately with internal team members and leadership.
• Support Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) process initiatives.

POSITION SUMMARY

Advanced Project Management Intern. The Project Management (PM) internship is open to students currently enrolled in a four year institution. The PM Intern will assist in the planning and management of software development projects and implement Project Management process improvement. The PM Intern will gain experience in multiple aspects of Project Management across all phases of the software development lifecycle. They will also have the opportunity to develop skills in communication, organization, leadership and data analysis.
