Standard Job Description

You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Staff for LockheedMartin’s Radio Frequency (RF) Product Center Advanced Programs Development team in Orlando, FL. Our team drives rapid-development, high-visibility programs that transition cutting-edge RF concepts from design through to production readiness.


What You Will Be Doing


  • Evaluating concepts, evolving designs, and trade-­studies to certify producibility and cost-­targets.

  • Developing and updating Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs) for early-stage assemblies.

  • Creating and maintaining manufacturing plans, make-­or‑buy analyses, and associated documentation.

  • Building low‑rate development assemblies in the shop, troubleshooting hardware or tooling issues, and coordinating test activities.

  • Presenting technical and manufacturing briefings at design and manufacturing review boards.

  • Traveling to supplier sites and other LockheedMartin facilities to support testing, tooling, and production challenges.

  • Acting as the bridge between Advanced Manufacturing & Technology and design engineers, delivering manufacturing feedback and questioning cost‑driving requirements when technical justification is lacking.

  • Cultivating collaborative relationships across multiple disciplines and geographic locations to ensure seamless program execution.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline (Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering)
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships
Ability to liaison between LM Subcontractors, internal disciplines, and Production Operations
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Ability to travel domestic and/or international


Desired Skills


  • Bachelors or higher degree in technical discipline (electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, etc. with MFG shop experience)

  • Manufacturing Background

  • Experience in RF Engineering

  • Experience in design for manufacturing / assembly or design to cost of electrical and electro‑mechanical designs

  • Knowledge within the SAP MRP production control system

  • Experience with Circuit Card Assemblies, harness and General Assembly

  • Earned Value Management experience

  • Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

  • Experience working with Government customers

  • Exposure to working with program management


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $94400.00 - $175200.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
