Job summary

Sensidyne in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking an assembly technician to oversee and participate in the production of electronic and mechanical assemblies, following prints and process guidelines to meet shipment deadlines.

You will perform assembly and testing, train co-workers, troubleshoot, adhere to 5S, and contribute to continuous improvement while using standard equipment and IPC soldering practices.

Qualifications

• Good communication, problem solving, trouble shooting and time management skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a cooperative and helpful fashion with co-workers.
• Ability to lead, instruct, and train personnel on product processes and assembly methods as required.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• Detail oriented and can read and understand prints and process documentation.
• Can use all mechanical and electrical assembly and test equipment, fixtures, tools and equipment, including hand tools, wire cutters, pliers, nut drivers, screw drivers, multimeters and flow meters.
• Basic data entry and other computer skills.
• A comprehensive knowledge of electrical principles including but not limited to ESD, surface mount, and component identification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in assembly and testing to ensure proper manufacture.
• Follow Standardized Work documentation and prints.
• Lead, train, and instruct co-workers on assembly methods.
• Identify issues and suggest improvements for efficiency and quality.
• Perform soldering per IPC standards and conduct product audits.
• Maintain 5S in the work area and proper housekeeping.
• Prototype build assembly operations as required.
• Utilize company systems for data entry and tracking.
