Job summary

Vivo Infusion is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to oversee infusion care in our Grand Haven, MI center. You will coordinate with nursing staff and the referring physicians to create and monitor personalized care plans, ensuring safety and efficacy throughout infusion procedures.

You will serve as the clinical liaison, maintain compliant documentation, and work within regulatory guidelines. This is a per diem role with Friday availability and a 2-day workweek schedule.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Nurse Practitioner license in Michigan.
• DEA license required.
• ONC certification preferred.
• Rheumatology/infusion experience is a plus.
• 1–3 years clinic experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service focus.
• Proficient with MS Office and standard computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate clinical information from referring physicians; admit patients for infusion.
• Develop initial care plans for newly referred patients.
• Monitor and adjust plans of care as needed.
• Perform pertinent physical exams and assess suitability for infusion.
• Review lab reports and request additional studies as needed.
• Escalate urgent situations to the supervising Medical Director.
• Document infusion orders and notes in the EMR; maintain accurate records.

We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our team of dynamic healthcare professionals in Grand Haven, MI.

VIVO Infusion - Advanced Practitioner

In this position, you will play a key role in overseeing infusion care provided by nurses in our physician-based ambulatory infusion center in Grand Haven, MI via telehealth as needed. You will create and maintain individualized care plans for all patients referred to the center, ensuring safe and effective care during infusion procedures. You will also serve as the primary clinical liaison between the referring physician’s office and the infusion center, providing critical support to the team and evaluating patients’ needs throughout the treatment process.

Your expertise will be crucial in delivering compassionate care in accordance with State and Federal regulations, as well as company policies and guidelines, all within your scope of practice.

Primary Responsibilities

• Reviews and evaluates clinical information provided by referring physician offices and admits appropriate patients for infusion.
• Evaluates newly referred patients and develops initial plans of care.
• Monitors plans of care and makes necessary changes
• Performs pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new patients and confirms suitability for infusion.
• Reviews all lab reports provided by the referring physician.
• Requests diagnostic and lab studies of the referring physician upon evaluation of the patient as needed.
• Recognizes situations which require the immediate attention of a physician and initiates life-saving procedures when necessary.
• Consults with the supervising Medical Director as is necessary.
• Documents infusion orders in the electronic medical record.
• Dictates or documents notes in the electronic medical record.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Promotes company quality outcome initiatives.
• Delegates responsibilities to staff nurses on duty.
• Follows company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control.
• Carries out all duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Provides patient education and answers questions from prospective patients and referring physicians.
• Enforces all HIPAA compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Must have a current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state in which service is provided.
• ONC Certified, preferred
• Must have current DEA license.
• Rheumatology and/or infusion experience preferred, but not required.
• 1-3 years in a clinic setting preferred.
• Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills to identify and address patient needs
• Intermediate computer skills, MS Office
• Strong time management skills and ability to work independently to deliver key results
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and high degree of professional ethic, knowledge of confidential and regulatory compliance practices.
