Astrya Global Medical Staffing is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. This 26-week contract offers 24/7 recruitment support and comprehensive malpractice insurance, with top-compensation details provided for OR first assist coverage.

Responsibilities include CABG, valve repair/replacements, aorta surgery, and other complex cardiac procedures, with Epic EMR for documentation and MO licensure requirements.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience.
• Current Missouri state license and required board certification.

Responsabilidades

• Provide ongoing OR first assist coverage for a cardiothoracic team.
• Work regular 0600–1830 shifts with weeknight and rotating weekend call.
• Submit availability for January–March as schedule is planned.
• Assist with CABG and valve repair/replacement procedures.
• Assist with ascending aortic surgery, including dissections.
• Assist with MAZE procedures and left atrial appendage exclusion.
• Support with sternotomies and mechanical circulatory support procedures.
• Document using Epic EMR and maintain charting.

Job Title: Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP)
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM x 3
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $140 - $151/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. These positions are 26-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):

• Provide ongoing OR first assist coverage with clinic support and call for a cardiothoracic/cardiac surgery team supported by 5 Cardiac Surgeons and an Intensivist
• Work regular shifts of 0600–1830, with weeknight call (1800–0600, one night per week) and rotating weekend call (0600–0600)
• Submit availability for January–March as the client schedules 3 months in advance
• Perform coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
• Assist with valve repair and replacement procedures (aortic, mitral, tricuspid)
• Assist with ascending aortic surgery, including emergent dissections
• Perform or assist with left atrial appendage exclusion and Maze procedures
• Assist with redo sternotomies
• Assist with mechanical circulatory support procedures including Impella, ECMO cannulation, and IABP exposure
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) using the Maquet EVH System
• Perform sternotomy opening and closure
• Place chest tubes and temporary pacing wires
• Utilize Epic EMR for charting and documentation
• Maintain minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience
• Maintain current BLS certification; RNFA preferred for NPs
• Maintain valid Missouri (MO) state license and required board certification
• Ensure APP resume includes specifics on department and role
• Submit CV in mm/yy–mm/yy format with explanations for any work history gaps over 30 days
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirements (medical/religious exemptions only)
