High Plains Mental Health Center in Oberlin, Kansas invites APRNs to join our rural care team delivering psychiatric care under established protocols. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing required.
• APRN license in Kansas as Psychiatric NP or PMHCS.
• QMHP designation encouraged or required.
• Proficiency with EMR and telehealth platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychopharmacological services and prescribe meds per protocols.
• Conduct psychiatric and physical assessments, history-taking, differential diagnoses.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for each patient.
• Monitor symptoms and medication side effects.
• Serve as primary referral point for medical evaluations.

What Youll Do

• Provide psychopharmacological services, including prescribing medications in accordance with written protocols.
• Conduct psychiatric and physical assessments, history-taking, and differential diagnoses.
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient.
• Monitor patient symptoms and medication side effects.
• Serve as the primary point of referral for medical evaluations.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Offer crisis intervention and management of chronic mental health issues.
• Educate patients and families on prevention and treatment.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.
• APRN licensure in the State of Kansas as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist.
• Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) designation.
• Proficiency with modern technology (e.g., computers, EMRs, telehealth platforms).
