Job summary

Aviva Health is offering an Advanced Practice Provider Residency for new Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant graduates. The program provides hands-on outpatient primary care experience within a collaborative team, emphasizing mentorship and clinical competency in a diverse patient population.

Participants will deepen learning through interaction with a highly qualified provider team, focusing on building clinical skills, patient communication, and care coordination in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Oregon state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• DEA license.
• Strong clinical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient primary care services under supervision.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinic staff.
• Participate in case reviews, mentorship, and learning activities.
• Maintain accurate patient records and participate in program activities.

The Advanced Practice Provider Residency offers new Nurse Practitioner and Physician Associate graduates the opportunity to gain critical job experience in an out-patient primary health care clinic and rich work environment while deepening learning through collaboration with our highly qualified healthcare provider team.

Required Qualifications:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to perform the following physical requirements with or without an accommodation:

• In-person work during normal clinic hours
• Remain in a stationary position frequently during the day while performing clinical and administrative duties
• Move or traverse frequently during the day throughout clinic to perform clinical and administrative duties
• Operate equipment frequently during the day using a computer, clinical and lab equipment
• Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and accurately so others will understand; ability to interact with patients and staff clearly
• Able to move or transport up to 25 pounds while using equipment and providing patient care.
• Work indoors in heat-controlled environment 100% of the day
• OSHA Exposure Category – Category #1: Possible job-related exposure to blood and/or body fluids. Requires the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
