Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Voorhees Township, NJ, to provide full-time outpatient psychiatric care. The role entails assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients’ psychiatric illnesses with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention.

The ideal candidate will have experience in psychiatric clinical services, hold a Master’s Degree in Nursing or as a Physician Assistant, and have a valid NJ-RN/APN or NJ-PA license. Scheduled hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Prior experience providing psychiatric clinical services including evaluations.

ADVANCED PRACTICED PROVIDER (APP) - Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant – Full Time - Psychiatry – Outpatient

Brief Summary of Responsibilities

• As a licensed independent provider, assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients’ psychiatric illnesses, emphasizing health promotion, wellness and disease prevention.
• Perform comprehensive pediatric patient history with psychiatric emphasis, collecting information from appropriate sources to determine differential diagnosis and develop individualized care plans. Order, perform and interpret rating scales, genetic tests, diagnostic and laboratory tests.
• Initiate and follow up on pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy for pediatric patients with conditions including MDD, GAD, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, Psychotic Disorders, SCZ, ADHD, and Personality Disorders.

Experience Required

Prior experience providing psychiatric clinical services, including diagnostic evaluations, pharmacotherapy, and psychotherapy.

Education Requirements

Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant.

License/Certification Requirements

NJ-RN/APN license or NJ-PA license; Board certified and AHA BLS certification.
