Role Overview:
An Acute Care Medical Provider is needed for PRN shifts to help us in our endeavor to build the healthiest community in the nation … one person at a time.
This position will be based at the new and innovative acute care behavioral health facility, which opened in late 2023. SummitStone has the privilege of partnering closely with Larimer County on this venture. We provide comprehensive and collaborative care to individuals in crisis with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
The advanced practice provider (PA or NP) will provide professional services in the evaluation and treatment of clients at our acute care facility. The role could include rounding on clients admitted to our crisis and/or detox units, or seeing walk‑in clients in our behavioral health urgent care. Coverage needs exist during day, night, and weekend shifts.
Major responsibilities of this position include: function as the medical team representative to a multidisciplinary treatment team designed to offer comprehensive behavioral health services; evaluate patients for substance use, mental health, and medical disorders, and determine the appropriate course of treatment for the patients; ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team setting; meet/maintain documentation standards; and comply with county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to health care.
