Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our busy Urgent Care clinic in Harrah, Oklahoma; A new facility built in February of 2022!

The position requires board certification or eligibility, Oklahoma PA license, DEA, BLS, and EPIC EHR proficiency, with a schedule of 14 twelve-hour shifts per month and occasional weekend work. Our clinic serves patients of all ages and provides on-site laboratory services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year experience as a practicing provider.
• Active Oklahoma PA license.
• Board-certified or board-eligible; NCCPA for PA.
• Active DEA certification (or ability to obtain).
• BLS certification.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• Proficient with EPIC EHR.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive urgent care within the full scope of licensure.
• Evaluate and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.
• Perform urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, wound care).

Position Highlights:

• Schedule: 14 twelve-hour shifts per month

• Operation: Clinic operates 7 days a week

• Practice Layout: 5 exam rooms and 1 procedure room

• Staffing: Current practicing NP and dedicated support team

  • Including Medical Assistants and Office Assistant support

• On-site Services: Laboratory services available

• Patient Population: Treat patients of all ages

• Existing panel of patients

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive urgent care within the full scope of licensure

• Evaluate and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries

• Perform urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, wound care)

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-year experience as a practicing provider

• Active, unrestricted Oklahoma PA license

• Board-certified or board-eligible

  • PA: NCCPA

• Active DEA (or ability to obtain)

• BLS certification

• Ability to treat patients of all ages

• EHR proficiency - EPIC

• Willingness to work occasional weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast track experience

• Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)

• Experience with initial X-ray interpretation
