UOVUNIUSREXTERNALENUS This Advanced Practice Provider-Clinical Nurse Specialist (APP-CNS) is a vital member of the Charles O. Strickler Transplant Center's Leadership Council, supporting adult solid organ transplant clinical practice across the entire care continuum, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives. The role provides specialty nursing consultation and collaborates with teams to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based care practices for the only comprehensive transplant center in Virginia.
The interprofessional transplant team includes experienced registered nurses, transplant coordinators, social workers, physicians, nurse practitioners, nutritionists, neuropsychologists, pharmacy specialists, and surgical and medical specialists. This APP-CNS works with a team of APP-CNSs to fulfill the CNS Mission and Vision: to improve patient health by providing advanced nursing consultation, optimizing evidence-based care, patient safety, healthcare efficiency, and applying systems thinking to impact care and enhance health outcomes in specialty populations. Candidates with Adult Acute/Geriatric or Critical Care CNS certification are considered. A minimum of 2+ years of adult transplant CNS experience is preferred. Final hire approval is contingent upon credentialing/privileging and prescriptive license acquisition.
Compensation Range: $87,755.20 - $140,400.00 annually.
Requires standing, traveling, bending, and lifting (20-50 lbs). May involve exposure to chemicals, blood, and infectious materials. Physical capabilities include lifting, standing, and walking; some travel may be necessary.
