Advanced Practice Provider-Occupational Medicine

Job Overview

This position is open to board-certified or eligible advanced practice providers. The APP will primarily care for patients at our Salt Lake Workmed Clinic, with rotations at Murray and South Jordan locations, and occasional travel to Weber and Davis counties. Responsibilities include occupational health services such as workers' compensation injury care, employment physicals, and DOT physicals.

Work Environment

Our WorkMed clinics provide walk-in services for industrial injuries, diagnosing and managing work-related health concerns, and referring to specialists as needed. The APP must become certified with the Department of Transportation within 30 days of starting.

Schedule and Benefits

Full-time, 4 days/week, no weekends, call, or holidays. Competitive pay range: $54.00/hr - $84.00/hr, based on experience. Benefits include a comprehensive wellness program.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform patient assessments, order tests, diagnose, and develop care plans.
  2. Provide treatment and oversee care, including prescribing medications.
  3. Document clinical care accurately and timely.
  4. Educate patients and staff, and stay updated with current healthcare practices.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare team members and participate in research.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current state license as an APRN.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Eligible for State Controlled Substance License and Federal DEA Certificate.
  • BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS).
  • Master’s degree or higher.
  • Relevant clinical experience.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to see, hear, communicate, manipulate equipment, lift, and assist with patient mobility.

Location and Hours

Physical Therapy/Workmed - Salt Lake, Utah. 40 hours/week.
