Job summary

Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio (GCSA), part of GI Alliance, seeks a dynamic Nurse Practitioner for our Hamilton Wolfe location in San Antonio, TX. Outpatient, Monday–Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–4pm, supporting one physician.

New graduates encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include patient histories, physicals, tentative diagnoses, and ordering labs, with emphasis on patient education and ongoing credentialing.

Qualifications

• State Licensed Nurse Practitioner - Required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish - Required.
• Gastrointestinal experience - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician in an outpatient clinic setting (Gastroenterology).
• Complete patient histories and physicals.
• Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests.
• Counsel patient and family on health and disease.
• Participate in continuing education and credentialing requirements at assigned medical facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Main location: 5223 Hamilton Wolfe, San Antonio, TX

No Satellite Locations

Outpatient only

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm; Friday 8am-4am

Supporting one physician

Patient follow-up visits only, averaging 14-16 per day

• Provide scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician in an outpatient clinic setting
• Complete patient histories and physicals
• Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests
• Counsel patient and family on health and disease
• Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Salary range: Negotiable based on experience
