Atrium Health Navicent Specialty Center seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP) or Physician Assistant to join our Colorectal Surgery team in a hybrid clinic, operating room, and inpatient setting. You will work with six physicians and two APPs to deliver high-quality colorectal care.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, participating in rounds, assisting in the operating room, and coordinating care across the continuum.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Acute Care NP or PA certification.
• Eligible for Georgia licensure.
• Eligible for hospital privileges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and follow-up visits in the outpatient clinic.
• Participate in inpatient rounds and management of colorectal surgery patients.
• Assist surgeons in the operating room.
• Coordinate patient care across the continuum of treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans within the electronic medical record.

Position Overview

Atrium Health Navicent Specialty Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP) or Physician Assistant to join our growing Colorectal Surgery team. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to practice across the clinic, operating room, and inpatient settings while working alongside a highly collaborative group of six physicians and two APPs. The APP will provide comprehensive support to the Colorectal Surgery team, assisting with patient care before, during, and after surgical treatment.

Position Highlights

• Full-time (1.0 FTE)
• Hybrid inpatient and outpatient practice
• Day shift schedule
• Clinic Hours:
  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Assist surgeons in clinic, the operating room, and inpatient care settings
• Approximately two operating room days per week with up to eight surgical cases
• Average inpatient census/admissions of five patients per provider
• Hospital privileges required at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center

Preferred

• Previous surgical, colorectal, oncology, or inpatient experience is preferred but not required
