Atrium Health Navicent Specialty Center is seeking a full-time Acute Care NP or PA to join our Colorectal Surgery team. This hybrid role blends clinic, operating room, and inpatient care, with a balanced day schedule and no call responsibilities.

You will support surgeons in clinic and OR, participate in rounds, coordinate patient care, and ensure smooth transitions across settings, with a collaborative team of six physicians and two APPs.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Acute Care NP certification or Physician Assistant certification.
• Eligible for Georgia licensure.
• Eligible for hospital privileges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct patient evaluations in the outpatient clinic.
• Participate in inpatient rounds and management of colorectal surgery patients.
• Assist surgeons in the operating room.
• Coordinate patient care across the continuum of treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and inter disciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans within the EMR.

Position Overview

Atrium Health Navicent Specialty Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP) or Physician Assistant to join our growing Colorectal Surgery team. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to practice across the clinic, operating room, and inpatient settings while working alongside a highly collaborative group of six physicians and two APPs. The APP will provide comprehensive support to the Colorectal Surgery team, assisting with patient care before, during, and after surgical treatment.

Position Highlights

• Full-time (1.0 FTE)
• Hybrid inpatient and outpatient practice
• Day shift schedule
• Clinic Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Assist surgeons in clinic, the operating room, and inpatient care settings
• Approximately two operating room days per week with up to eight surgical cases
• Average inpatient census/admissions of five patients per provider
• Hospital privileges required at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center

• Document patient encounters and treatment plans within the electronic medical record

Qualifications Required

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification or Physician Assistant certification
• Eligible for Georgia licensure
• Eligible for hospital privileges
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Previous surgical, colorectal, oncology, or inpatient experience is preferred but not required
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
