Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale seeks a compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the outpatient neurology team. The ideal candidate will have experience or strong interest in general Neurology and will collaborate under physician supervision to deliver patient-centered care.

The Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute at Holy Cross Health supports 8 Neurologists, 2 Neurosurgeons, 2 Interventional Neuroradiologists and 8 Advanced Practice Providers, offering clinics for ALS

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• National APRN or PA certification.
• Current Florida PA/APRNP license.
• BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments including history and physical examinations.
• Manage chronic neurological conditions such as dementia, headaches, movement disorders, radiculopathy, and peripheral nerve disease.
• Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic testing.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians.
• Provide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
• Participate in care coordination with other providers and specialties.
• Document all patient encounters thoroughly in the EMR.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practices.

Education

Graduate of accredited PA/NP program

Current Florida PA/APRNP license

National APRN or PA certification

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
• National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification (APRN) OR national board certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida.
• BLS/ACLS

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record
