The ideal candidate has Neurology experience, Florida license, and APRN/PA certification. The position offers M-F hours with no call or weekend requirements, and a supportive environment for professional

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Current Florida license as Physician Assistant or APRN.
• Certification: APRN or PA board; BLS/ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct neurological assessments including history, exam, and interpretation of studies.
• Manage chronic neurological conditions such as dementia, headaches, movement disorders, radiculopathy, and peripheral nerve disease.
• Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
• Coordinate care with other providers and specialties.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR.
• Maintain compliance with policies, guidelines, and standards.

Employment Type:Full timeShift:Description:We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our outpatient neurology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in general Neurology will work collaboratively under the supervision of the physician and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute at Holy Cross Health is home to 8 Neurologists, 2 Neurosurgeons, 2 Interventional Neuroradiologists and 8 Advanced Practice Providers, providing a vast array of neurological services including multi-disciplinary clinics for ALS and Parkinson's Disease. Our service line also includes Neuro Critical Care, Interventional Spine and Pain, and an Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. We are a Joint Commission certified Thrombectomy-capable stroke center. Position is for M-F office hours without call or weekends required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Neurological assessments including history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic studies.
• Manage chronic conditions such as dementia, headaches disorders, movement disorders, radiculopathy, and peripheral nerve disease.
• Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies, diagnostic testing

• Participate in care coordination with other providers and specialties.
• Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the Electronic Medical Record
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practice standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
• National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification (APRN) OR national board certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida.
• BLS/ACLS
