Job summary

Azza HealthCare Agency is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider II- ACLS to deliver comprehensive healthcare in primary or specialty areas, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals.

You will act as a clinical resource, mentor APP students, supervise staff, and stay current with medical advancements while maintaining licensure.

Qualifications

  • Active license as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Texas).
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required or eligible.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience for APPs performing similar duties; 5+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Take patient history and perform physical exams, assessments, and ordered tests.
  • Make medical decisions, manage patient care, and utilize protocols.
  • Accurately document health information and communicate with patients and team.
  • Coordinate follow-up care, educate patients and families, and participate in community outreach.
  • Train and supervise APP students and contribute to staff education and development.
  • Stay current with medical advancements and support QA/QI projects and clinical research.
  • Ensure compliance with licensure, certifications, and policies.

Job description

Role: Advanced Practice Provider II- ACLS, responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare in primary or specialty areas, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals. Acts as a clinical resource, role model, and trainer for practitioners and students to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical activities such as history-taking, physical exams, assessments, and ordering tests.
  • Make medical decisions, manage patient care, and utilize protocols effectively.
  • Document health information accurately and communicate clearly with patients and team members.
  • Coordinate follow-up care, educate patients and families, and participate in community outreach.
  • Train and supervise APP students and contribute to staff education and development.
  • Stay current with medical advancements, participate in QA/QI projects, and support clinical research.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies, maintaining licensure and certifications.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with relevant certifications (e.g., ACLS, BLS).
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience for APPs performing similar duties; 5+ years preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and patient-centered care skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and mentor others.
  • Proficiency in documentation, time management, and adherence to standards.
