Job summary

University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for the Hospitalist Medicine service. This is a full-time night-shift role with a 7 nights on, 7 nights off schedule (12-hour shifts). APP experience is required, and ACNP is preferred to support ICU.

The APP will provide ongoing patient care, participate in interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to education and process improvements within the department.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited PA program is required.
• MSN degree in Nursing is required.

Job description

Seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for the Hospitalist Medicine service at UH Geneva Medical Center. This is a full time night-shift position. Schedule will be 7 nights on and 7 nights off (12 hour shifts). APP experience required and Nurse Practitioners must have ACNP to support ICU.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

• Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self
• Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management
• Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism
• Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review

Additional Responsibilities

• Complies with all policies and standards.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
