Job summary

WellSpan Health in Chambersburg, PA is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our General Surgery team. The role combines inpatient care, outpatient follow-up, surgical first assist responsibilities, and procedure-based patient management.

You will work with three surgeons and two APPs in a collaborative setting, with a flexible, rotating schedule averaging ~36 hours across 15 shifts per month. New grads welcome; mentorship and comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing practice (NP) or Doctor of Physician Assistant (PA) required.
• 1 year of related advanced practice experience required.
• Licensure as NP or PA required upon hire.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required or to be obtained upon hire.
• Board certification for NP or PA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diverse practice combining inpatient care, outpatient follow-up visits, surgical first assist responsibilities, and procedure-based patient management.
• Broad exposure to emergency general surgery and elective cases, including consults, rounding, triage, and OR support.
• Collaborative team environment with three surgeons and two APPs in a general surgery practice.
• Flexible scheduling with day, evening, and overnight shifts; about 36 hours per week across 15 shifts per month.
• New graduate-friendly with mentorship and hands-on surgical experience across the care continuum.
