Stormont Vail HealthCare, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) for the Pre-Admissions Testing (PAT) Clinic to optimize patients for surgical interventions.

The APP conducts comprehensive preoperative evaluations, coordinates diagnostic testing, and collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and primary care providers to enhance perioperative safety and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PA/APRN program and eligible for Kansas licensure.
• At least 2 years APP experience in perioperative/surgical, internal medicine, anesthesia, or primary care.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed preoperative assessments including history and physical exams.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies (labs, EKGs, imaging).
• Coordinate referrals with specialists when indicated.
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams for procedure readiness.
• Educate patients and families on preparation, expectations, and discharge planning.
• Document findings and care plans in EMR timely and accurate.
• Participate in quality improvement and PAT protocol development.
• Support standardized PAT processes and staff education.
