Job summary

Sentara Community Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP) with strong pediatrics experience to join the Mobile Unit serving the Greater Hampton Roads area. The NP will perform health assessments, prescribe treatments, and collaborate with a primary care physician under a collaborative agreement.

The role requires 2–3 years of NP experience in pediatrics, a Master’s degree as an NP, and appropriate licensure with ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s level NP education and current NP licensure.
• 2–3 years of NP experience in pediatrics required.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide health assessments and clinical care for individuals, families, and groups.
• Prescribe and manage treatments under supervision of an assigned PCP.
• Participate in quality assurance/quality improvement activities and team-based care.

Sentara Community Care is hiring an Advanced Practice provider with strong PEDS experience to work the Mobile Unit in the Greater Hampton Roads area. (Recurring Mobile & Events)

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for the provision of health care services to individuals, families, and/or groups who receive their care under the auspices of Sentara. Health care services include conducting health assessments, prescribing/providing treatments/interventions, promoting health, and providing disease prevention and management. Health care services are provided under the direction and supervision of assigned primary care physician (collaborative agreement). The Nurse Practitioner is expected to participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, engage in team activities, and use resources (human and material) appropriately.

Hours

20 patient hours per week, may include evenings and weekends

Monday- Saturday - Rotating ( Hours may vary based on need)

Education

Master's Level Degree- Nurse Practitioner

Certification/Licensure

One of the following certifications qualifies:

Registered Nurse (RN) Multi State - Nursing License - North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)

OR

Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)

OR

Registered Nurse (RN) Multi State - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)

OR

Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)

AND

One of the following certifications qualifies:

Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse (APRN) - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)

OR

Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Nursing License - North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)

BLS (Required)
