Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, CO invites an experienced First Assist APP to join our CT Surgery Clinic and St. Mary’s Regional Hospital team. The role includes assisting in complex surgeries, vein harvesting, patient discharge, and daily rounds, with a collaborative OR environment across multiple surgeons and APPs.

We offer a base salary plus call pay, CME support, sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance for eligible candidates, with Colorado licensure and credentialing required.

Qualifications

• APP degree from a fully accredited program.
• 1–2 years of experience as a First Assist APP; no new grads.
• 1 year CT experience with proven independence in EVH.
• Active Colorado license or ability to obtain one.
• BLS certification and DEA.
• Ability to complete Intermountain Health credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Mon‑Fri working 4, 10's with paid 1:3 call for nights and weekends.
• Q3 call requirement includes rounding on weekends during call and being first call for the nursing floor.
• Practice at our CT Surgery Clinic and St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO.
• Work with 3 CT surgeons, 2 surgical APPs, 1 non‑surgical APP and a first assist to support in the OR.
• Assist surgeons in performing procedures during surgery.
• Perform radial artery and saphenous vein harvesting.
• Discharge same day or PACU patients.
• Daily team rounding.
• Clinic responsibilities include new H&P and surgical follow ups.

About this role

Our competitive compensation consists of a base salary plus call pay. The salary is calculated on years of experience and can range from $125,000 - $193,000. Q3 call pay is 12.5% on top of your base pay plus time and a half call back activation pay. In addition, you will receive up to $3,500 annually to take CME plus an additional 40 hours of time over PTO. This position includes a $10,000 sign‑on bonus and $7,500 in relocation assistance, when applicable.
