The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Heart & Vascular provides comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. This role is responsible for advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and support operational reliability. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health’s mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse; completion of graduate-level clinical practicum in an advanced practice nursing program. Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio. Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Ohio. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant specialty area from a board-approved certifying organization (e.g., ANCC, AANP). Current DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to prescribing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Ph.D. in Nursing. Experience in cardiology or heart and vascular care. Specialty certification relevant to area of practice. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
