Advanced Practice Provider – Cardiothoracic Surgery

SSM Health‑SLUCare is seeking an experienced advanced practice provider to join our growing service line. This inpatient position will work in the stepdown unit.

Job Highlights

• Provide clinical care to patients transitioning from the Cardiac Surgery ICU to the step‑down setting; evaluate and develop a plan of care for new patient consults.
• Perform detailed assessments, monitor and evaluate cardiac status, manage patients through the pre‑post‑op period, initiate and refine medical management, participate in multi‑disciplinary rounds, care coordination, discharge planning and education, chest tube/pacing wire removal, wound care.
• Shift‑based schedule including rotating weekends and holidays.
• No call/no nights.

Qualifications

• Cardiothoracic Surgery experience.
• ICU experience is a plus.
• NP must be Acute Care Certified or CPA.
