Job summary

GI Alliance's Austin Gastro in Austin, TX seeks an outpatient-focused Acute Care NP or Physician Assistant to join a physician-led gastroenterology network. This full-time role offers 32–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with no on-call requirements and rare inpatient duties.

Responsibilities include seeing new and follow-up patients, completing histories and physicals, ordering labs, and counseling patients and families while pursuing credentialing and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• State Licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Outpatient-focused practice with occasional inpatient duties.
• Bilingual English/Vietnamese is a plus.

Job Description

• Primarily outpatient, with very occasional inpatient, services under the direct supervision and responsibility of one physician
• Austin Gastro location 7951 Shoal Creek Blvd., Building 2, Suite 200, Austin, TX
• Future satellite location in Manor, TX
• Full-Time position with flexibility for 32-40 hours per week
• Monday - Friday schedule
• No call responsibilities
• Rarely inpatient responsibilities
• Dedicated to one physician
• Seeing both new patients and follow-up patients
• Complete patient histories and physicals
• Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests
• Counsel patient and family on health and disease
• Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities
• Perform other duties as assigned
