Job summary

Austin Gastro in Kyle, TX, part of GI Alliance, seeks a licensed NP or PA to provide outpatient care under physician supervision.

The role focuses on one physician, sees ~12 patients per clinic day, handles histories and physicals, orders labs, counsels patients, and participates in credentialing and ongoing education. No inpatient duties.

Qualifications

• TX State Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.
• Comfortable working in a busy and thriving practice required.
• Experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred.
• Gastrointestinal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient services under the direct supervision of a physician.
• Dedicated to one physician.
• Full-Time Schedule.
• See both new and follow-up patients, approximately 12 per full clinic day.
• Complete patient histories and physicals.
• Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests.
• Counsel patient and family on health and disease.
• Participate in credentialing and continuing education requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Provide outpatient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician
• Dedicated to one physician
• Full-Time Schedule
• Austin Gastro - Primarily Kyle location, potentially South Austin & Dripping Springs depending on volume
• No call responsibilities
• No inpatient responsibilities
• Seeing both new patients and follow-up patients, approximately 12 patients per full clinic day
• Complete patient histories and physicals
• Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests
• Counsel patient and family on health and disease
• Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities
• Perform other duties as assigned
