Job summary

Star Sleep & Wellness in Mansfield, TX seeks a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our sleep medicine team. Flexible for hybrid or remote work depending on distance to the clinic; typical hours are 8am–5pm, Mon–Fri.

Salary ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 per year with comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate is licensed in Texas, holds an active DEA license, and has clinical experience in sleep medicine or related fields.

  • DEA license active preferred.
  • Controlled Substance Registration active preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Determine abnormal conditions by ordering/reading diagnostic tests and labs.
  • Develop competency in treating sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, and RLS.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Provide continuity of care with patient management plans.
  • Maintain accurate EMR records and HIPAA compliance.

About the Position

Star Sleep & Wellness is growing! As we expand further, we are looking for dedicated, full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our practice and support our mission of saving lives, healing relationships, and extending careers specifically in our Mansfield office. Our ideal candidate is licensed in the state of Texas and has an active DEA license. You would work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Please Note: This role may be hybrid or fully remote, based on commuting distance and the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests (such as polysomnography or home sleep testing), and laboratory studies; interpreting test results.
  • Develop competency in the treatment of obstructive and central sleep apnea (such as oral appliances and non-invasive positive pressure ventilation devices), narcolepsy, insomnia, and restless leg syndrome.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional and insurance requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Provide continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records in EMR and adhere to all HIPAA protocols.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
  • Follow all company policies and protocols in the normal course of business.
  • Possess sound medical decision making abilities.

  • Experience in a related field, such as sleep medicine, internal medicine, or pulmonology is preferred.
  • No current or pending malpractice lawsuits
  • Active TX license in good standing; additional license in Florida, North Carolina, and Nevada, preferred, but not required
  • Active DEA Certificate, preferred, but not required
  • Active Controlled Substance Registration
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and team-oriented behavior
