Job summary

Saint Luke's Health System in Kansas City seeks a Medical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider for a full-time daytime role. The APP will manage advanced nursing care for oncology patients, provide clinical coordination, and support care plans following state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities include data collection, plan development, patient and family education, case management, and collaboration with the care team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
• Active Advanced Practice Provider Certification MO/KS.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care for oncology patients and coordinate care plans.
• Collect and analyze patient data, develop outcomes, and implement plans of care.
• Educate patients and families; perform case management and participate in research.
• Collaborate with the care team to influence plan of care and optimize outcomes.

We are looking for a Medical Oncology APP at St. Luke's. Full time, Monday-Friday, 4x10 shifts. No weekends, no holidays, and no call requirements. The APP will be accountable for advanced nursing practice in the care of assigned patient populations. Responsible for collecting and analyzing client health data identifies appropriate expected outcomes development and implement plan of care provide comprehensive clinical coordination of care and case management provide consultation to influence plan of care for clients enhance the abilities of others and effect change in the system uses prescriptive authority procedures and treatments in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations evaluate clients progress in attaining expected outcomes conduct nursing research provide education to patient family and nursing staff and case manages high risk patients. • Advanced Practice Provider Cert(MO/KS) - Various
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation
