Job description

Position: PSYCH NP or PA at The Behavioral Health Pavilion of the Virginias, Bluefield, WV

The Behavioral Health Pavilion of the Virginias is actively seeking qualified Advanced Practice Professionals, including Physician Assistants (PA) and/or Behavioral Health and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP), for our state-of-the-art Outpatient program located in Bluefield, WV. This is a part-time (24 hours/week), weekday position with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements. WVU/Princeton Community offers a competitive compensation package, paid time off (PTO), and insurance benefits.

Responsibilities

1. Manage comprehensive and individualized care for behavioral health patients in an outpatient setting.
2. Conduct initial evaluations and diagnoses, and provide follow-up assessments and management of psychiatric disorders.
3. Collaborate with leadership and staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

1. Current, unencumbered West Virginia Nursing license with PMHNP credentials OR
2. Current, unencumbered Physician Assistant license with the West Virginia Board of Medicine.
3. Related experience is preferred but not mandatory.

The Behavioral Health Pavilion of the Virginias, a service of Princeton Community Hospital, is located at the foot of East River Mountain in Bluefield, WV. The area offers four seasons of outdoor activities, including skiing, snowboarding, boating, kayaking, and scenic drives to beaches. Bluefield features good schools and established neighborhoods.

Established in March 2010, the Pavilion provides comprehensive mental health services for adults 18 years and older in a secure and healing environment, serving areas across West Virginia and Virginia.
