Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our orthopedic fracture prevention team. The APP will work closely with orthopedic surgeons to provide specialized care. Responsibilities include patient assessments and developing rehabilitation plans.

Ortho Fracture Prevention APP Greensboro (Outpatient)

Job Summary: Participates in team-focused patient care through examinations, diagnostics, and therapeutic evaluations/interventions. The clinician operates under the regulatory mandates of their licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental credentialing from the institution.

What You'll Do:

As a valued member of our healthcare team, the PA/NP will:

  1. Use medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plans.
  2. Collaborate with the medical team for effective team-based care.
  3. Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies, explaining procedures to patients.
  4. Participate in basic science and clinical research projects.
  5. Precept students and medical learners when possible.
  6. Uphold the missions, values, and cultural commitments of AHWFB.
  7. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

The clinician functions under the regulatory mandates of their licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental credentialing from the institution.

Physician Assistant (PA) Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, Certified by NCCPA.
  • Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing.

Nurse Practitioner (NP) Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program, with a Master's degree or higher.
  • Current North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licenses.
  • Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing.
