UHA University Health Associates seeks a Clinical Optimization Specialist- Advanced Practice Provider to enhance documentation accuracy and support revenue cycle performance. The role partners with Revenue Cycle, IT, and clinical leadership to optimize Epic templates and ensure documentation reflects acuity.
The APP will balance clinical duties up to two days per month, while driving documentation improvements across Heart & Vascular services and related specialties.
The Clinical Optimization Specialist- Advanced Practice Provider(APP) acts as a key clinical and operational resource focused onenhancing provider documentation accuracy, ensuring revenueintegrity, and identifying critical acuity indicators to optimizerevenue cycle performance.
This role will report to the Heart and Vascular Assistant VicePresident of Finance and partner directly with Revenue Cycle teams,as well as collaborate with HVI physicians, APPs, and IT analyststo optimize documentation workflows and clinical templates withinEpic’s EMR. The role will ensure that documentation aligns withevolving coding requirements, accurately reflects patient acuity,and supports the strategic goals of the Heart & VascularInstitute system wide.
The position is Monday–Friday, 8-hour days, with the potential toparticipate in inpatient or clinic APP coverage up to two days permonth. Additional clinical work, upon approval, may be completed ona per diem basis provided it does not impact the standard weekdayschedule.
