South Carolina ENT (SCENT) in Columbia, SC, an affiliate of SENTA Partners, seeks an Advanced Practice Practitioner (NP/PA) to deliver high-quality care in ENT, allergy, and sleep medicine. You will collaborate with board-certified physicians among a multidisciplinary team within our ambulatory setting and sleep clinics.

The role covers case management, follow-up care, and patient communication, with opportunities for procedures, hospital rounding, and after-hours coverage.

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including interval histories and assessments for follow-up visits.
• Perform focused physical examinations of the head, neck, ears, nose, throat, chest, and skin.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring all care is documented clearly and communicated effectively with patients.
• Provide clinical assessments and formulate differential diagnoses related to ENT, allergy, and sleep medicine.
• Clinical: in-office procedures and hospital rounding/ discharging.
• Prescribe medications within prescriptive authority, including antihistamines, decongestants, mucolytics, bronchodilators, inhaled and oral steroids, and antibiotics.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as laboratory tests, radiology, CT scans, and audiograms.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians for consultation in complex or difficult cases, whether in person or by phone.
• Participate in after-hours call coverage from home with physician backup available as needed.

Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within our ENT and Allergy clinics. This position provides comprehensive support in case management, follow-up care, and patient communication. With SCENT, y ou’re part of a team built around ENT, allergy, sleep medicine, audiology, and our own ambulatory surgery center, working side by side with experienced, board-certified physicians who want APPs as real partners in patient care.
