Job summary

Contentnea Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver outpatient medical care in partnership with one or more supervising physicians. You will perform history-taking, physical examinations, and document in the EHR, while reviewing tests and medications.

You will also place orders, perform procedures, administer vaccines, and provide patient education. An on-call rotation and active participation in QI initiatives are expected.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Nursing or current licensure as a Physician Assistant in good standing with the North Carolina Medical Board.
• Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Practices medical care for each patient visit.
• Documents chief complaint, history of present illness, pertinent review of systems, and physical exam in electronic health record (EHR).
• Reviews and updates past medical history, family history, social history, medications, and allergies in EHR.
• Reviews vital signs and results from prior orders, and places new orders.
• Performs and documents procedures and administers medications and immunizations.
• Determines and documents assessment and plan; prescribes medications and provides patient education, guidance, and counseling.
• Arranges plan for follow-up and attends meetings; participates in quality metrics directives and departmental quality improvement (QI) projects.

Job Summary

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Practices medical care for each patient visit.

19. Attends clinical site meetings regularly.

20. Attends practice-wide meetings regularly.

21. Reads emails and other platforms of communication within organization.

22. Completes peer review.

23. Complies with Clinical Quality Measures expectations.

24. Uses resources to verify standards of care.

25. Modifies workflows as determined by department to attain QI objectives.

26. Consistently documents activities related to QI projects.

• a. Maintains availability to receive phone calls throughout dates of on-call service.
• b. Responds to on-call contact within timelines in established policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills
