Job summary

Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) for a locum tenens assignment in Bellingham, WA. The position runs for 13 weeks with extension potential. Schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, five days per week, at a pay rate of $105 to $110 per hour.

Provide outpatient Medical Oncology/Hematology services, work 1:1 with a Medical Oncologist, and manage about 14–15 adult patients daily. Requires WA PA licensure, BLS, EPIC EMR proficiency, and vaccination compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Washington state PA license required prior to start.
• BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross).
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions).

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient Medical Oncology/Hematology services as a Physician Assistant in a clinic setting.
• Work 1:1 with a Medical Oncologist (not as a solo provider).
• Manage an average of 14-15 adult patients per day.
• Perform rounding duties as required.
• Utilize EPIC EMR system proficiently for clinical documentation.
• Provide documentation of hematology/medical oncology services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested during the previous 24 months.

Responsibilities for a Physician Assistant (PA):

• Provide outpatient Medical Oncology/Hematology services as a Physician Assistant in a clinic setting
• Work 1:1 with a Medical Oncologist (not as a solo provider)
• Manage an average of 14-15 adult patients per day
• Perform rounding duties as required
• Utilize EPIC EMR system proficiently for clinical documentation
• Provide documentation of hematology/medical oncology services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested during the previous 24 months (waived for applicants who completed training within the previous year)
• Maintain active Washington state PA licensure prior to start of assignment
• Maintain current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirement (no exemptions)
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
