Job summary

The Indian Health Service is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver compassionate care focused on American Indian and Alaska Native communities. You will assess patients, develop diagnoses and treatment plans, and educate patients on self‑management of illnesses.

Qualifications

• Graduate or higher‑level degree in nursing or an advanced practice specialty from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Current, active, unrestricted RN license; advanced practice nursing positions require a specialty license appropriate to the clinical area.
• At least one (1) year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to the next lower federal grade level.
• Successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Must meet U.S. citizenship, Selective Service registration (for applicable candidates), and federal E‑Verify eligibility.
