Jefferson Foot & Ankle Surgery Practice in New Jersey is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team! Job Description

The advanced practice provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) in our outpatient setting collaborates with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The APP provides comprehensive care at practices located in Washington Township and Haddonfield, NJ, as well as surgical suites in Washington Township and Cherry Hill, NJ.

Practice Details:

• Focus: Musculoskeletal care specializing in evaluation and management of lower extremity, ankle, and foot conditions.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
• Setting: Primarily office-based with some time at affiliated surgical centers.
• Patient Volume: High volume of patients (ages 8 and above) per day.
• Skills: Perform and assist with injections, including corticosteroids, biologics, and other therapies.
• Patient Management: Conduct pre- and post-operative evaluations, manage patient flow, and develop treatment plans.
• Surgical Support: Work as a first assist in foot and ankle surgeries.
• Autonomous & Collaborative Practice: Balance independent decision-making with team collaboration.
• Additional Responsibilities: Support surgical team, evaluate new patients, perform office procedures, and utilize EPIC EMR. On-site ultrasound access is available.

Assessment & Management:

• Perform comprehensive history and physicals, order diagnostic tests, and serve as a first responder for patient status changes.
• Assess risks in acute and chronic patient care, including medication effects and invasive procedures.

Diagnosis:

• Collaborate on diagnosing acute and chronic conditions, manage tests, and formulate differential diagnoses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose complications, and determine interventions.

Plan of Care:

• Develop individualized care plans with expected outcomes, utilizing evidence-based guidelines.
• Implement and adjust plans, prescribe diagnostics and treatments, and perform advanced procedures as privileges allow.

Documentation:

• Maintain timely, compliant documentation of patient progress, including notes, care plans, and summaries.

Communication & Collaboration:

• Maintain ongoing communication with the healthcare team and facilitate continuity of care with patients and families.

Professional Practice:

• Engage in mentoring, education, research, and specialty meetings. Maintain CEUs and professional memberships.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree
• National Board Certification as a Primary/Family Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• BLS certification
• Extensive musculoskeletal experience, especially in lower extremity, ankle, and foot conditions.
• Proficiency in injections; surgical first-assist experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to independently triage, diagnose, and manage patients in an office setting.
• Interest in surgical collaboration and long-term growth within a high-volume practice.

Work Shift

Day shift, Monday through Friday.
