Job summary

New Jersey Brain and Spine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for our neurosurgery practice. This outpatient role involves collaborating with neurosurgeons and APP team to treat brain and spine conditions. Flexible 4 or 5 full days, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with benefits for 30+ hours.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, performing histories/PEs, ordering tests, post-op care, and triaging calls. Requires NJ APN license, CDS/DEA, BLS, and prior NP experience in surgical specialties is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• ANCC or AANP board certification or equivalent.
• Active New Jersey APN license.
• New Jersey CDS and DEA licenses.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage new, follow-up, and post-operative patients.
• Perform histories and physicals and develop treatment plans.
• Order and review appropriate diagnostic testing.
• Provide post-operative care including incision checks and meds management.
• Triage patient calls and electronic communications.
• Prescribe medications as clinically appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians and other APPs to support patient care and clinic workflow.

We offer flexibility for candidates interested in working 4 or 5 full days per week. This is an outpatient position working collaboratively with our neurosurgeons and APP team to care for patients with a variety of brain and spine conditions.

• Work closely with physicians and other APPs to support patient care and clinic workflow
