Job summary

The Indian Health Service is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive primary care and drive quality outcomes for American Indian and Alaska Native communities.

As a trusted clinician, you will assess patients, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications when appropriate, and educate patients on self-care and prevention. This on-site role offers a competitive compensation package and a recruitment/relocation sign-on bonus, where eligible.

Qualifications

• Graduate or higher-level degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current NP license and certification as required by the state.
• Experience in primary care or patient-facing clinical roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze patient histories and symptoms to form diagnoses.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in line with guidelines.
• Diagnose or manage acute illnesses and injuries.
• Prescribe medications with appropriate safety and dosing.
• Educate patients on self-management and preventive care.
