Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to augment a supervising physician’s data-gathering and patient care plans. You will provide health care services under the direction of a Physician and Medical Director.

The role covers detailed histories, exams, and orders/interpretations of tests, with procedures such as suturing, injections, and wound care. Inpatient care and weekend rounding are required up to two weekends monthly.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree required.
• Texas PA license or transfer to Texas.
• Nurse Practitioner with Texas RN license acceptable.
• PA certification by NCCPA.

Aufgaben

• Provide patient care under supervision of Physician and Medical Director.
• Obtain and document detailed patient histories.
• Conduct exams, document findings, and coordinate care.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to support diagnosis and planning.
• Perform procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive care.
• Provide inpatient care and participate in weekend rounding schedules (up to two weekends/month).
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver multidisciplinary care.
