Overview

This recruitment will fill Advanced Practice Clinician vacancies within Integrated Clinical Services, operating medical and dental clinics, outreach programs, and health services in jails and juvenile detention facilities. The clinician provides professional, comprehensive specialized nursing services emphasizing disease prevention and health promotion, serving diverse and vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing services with an emphasis on prevention and promotion of health.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with a diverse range of patients, including refugees and low‑income populations.
  • Screen and gather required information in a culturally competent, customer‑service oriented manner.
  • Motivate clients through discussion and persuasion, using effective communication skills.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with other health professionals and community partners.
  • Manage multiple priorities flexibly and maintain composure when dealing with hostile or verbally abusive clients.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree or equivalent in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certificate.
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Oregon.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • DEA certification.
  • Minimum one year of work as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of general medicine and surgery principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and injuries.
  • Ability to screen and gather information professionally and culturally competently.
