J.W. Speaker Corporation in Wisconsin seeks a Mold Technician to start up existing tools and produce parts to standard, while flexing to setup priorities and tooling like metalizers and lasers.

You will train C Techs and help develop molding processes, including end-of-arm tooling and heat staking, while maintaining quality and cost control. You will participate in 5S in the molding area, audit quality on runs, and use PDCA to drive improvements and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• 3 years in a mold technician role.
• Proven technical and problem solving skills.
• Pass C and B Tech verification process

Responsibilities

• Start-up existing tools and produce good parts at standard per the PCS and MFG Floor Doc.
• Flex to Setup based on priority (High-Low), setting up metalizers and laser cutters
• Troubleshoot existing processes
• Follow standards as assigned
• Train and mentor C Techs (our entry level process technician role)
• Aid in creation of Mold secondary processes - i.e. End of arm tools, Heat Staking, In-Mold Labeling, etc.
• 5's in the Molding area
• Audit quality standards on existing runs
• Surface problems
• Utilize PDCA to solve problems and drive improvements
