Job summary

Stella-Jones in Goshen, VA is seeking a Maintenance 2 to maintain plant equipment and ensure safe, efficient operations at the facility. You will inspect, service and repair processing equipment across structures, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical systems.

This role offers progression toward Maintenance 1 under supervision, with training to perform preventative maintenance, document work, and contribute to safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, services, repairs and constructs plant processing equipment, including structures, utilities, loaders, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, mechanical, and pressure vessel work throughout the plant.
• Utilizes welding and fabrication tools to alter, repair and fabricate processing equipment.
• Manages inventory of serviceable parts required to maintain equipment.
• Performs the Preventative Maintenance Program established by the Company
• Documents and reports maintenance work performed and advises of future requirements in a timely manner.
• Participates and contributes to company safety program.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• A Maintenance 2 gains knowledge and experience required for promotion to Maintenance 1 under direction of experienced Maintenance 1 by performing the above duties.
