Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Pharmacist to provide direct operational and clinical patient services at the Materials Distribution Center. The role ensures safe drug use, drug information, and care across all ages, within hospital policy and state/federal laws.

The position supports laboratory review, clinical services, education of staff and students, and regulatory compliance. Work shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Education - Bachelor's degree from an ACPE-approved college of Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
• Experience - Informatics, report writing or analytics experience preferred.
• Licensed to practice as Pharmacist or eligible to become licensed within 4 months of hire date.
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and regulatory rules.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurate medication management, drug distribution, and patient care. Oversees neonates to geriatrics care; minimizes turnaround time.
• Oversees pharmacy support personnel; may function as lead pharmacist within the department.
• Provides lab review, clinical services, pharmacy consult, patient education, and documentation.
• Provides experiential education, evaluation, and training for technicians, students, and new employees.
• Represents the department in integrating pharmaceutical care throughout patient care continuum.
• Responsible for regulatory oversight and compliance with Board of Pharmacy, state health department, DEA, and other agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
