Job summary

HCA Florida West Hospital is seeking an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the ER to join the dedicated emergency team. Under RN guidance, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment for patients and families.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, assisting with daily activities, performing phlebotomy, telemetry, and IV/catheter care, and supporting lab collection and clerical duties to keep the unit running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Basic CS within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of start date.

• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely.
• Provide advanced care including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and wound care.
• Assist with collecting lab samples and clerical tasks to keep care running smoothly.
• Anticipate patient needs and respond quickly to ensure a seamless, compassionate experience.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds
• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly
• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
