Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our collaborative nursing team. You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitor patients, assist with vital signs, mobility, and daily needs to help maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

You will communicate with patients and families, help with supplies and infection control, and contribute to care plans. Previous healthcare experience and BCLS within 30 days are valued.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Previous experience preferred

• Providing non‑medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency

• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands‑on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.
